Lily and Yakira in Year 5 are about to do something amazing! On 12 March, they are taking part in Brave the Shave to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

On Thursday Potten End welcomed a STEM Ambassador to facilitate this year's Year 5 & 6 K’NEX Challenge. The children enjoyed taking on a challenge to use K’NEX to design a bridge that could open and close for boats to pass.
The children demonstrated amazing resilience and learnt that engineering takes a lot of planning and perseverance! The bridges had to be movable and they used gears and joints to create a strong, purposeful structure. Designs created included a vertical lift bridge, transporter bridge and a swing bridge. In Year 6 Henry, Kaylan and Harry’s transporter bridge was the winning structure.
Year 2 had a great time trying out different athletics events at the DSSN event this morning.
As part of Children’s Mental Health Week 2022, children at Potten End Primary are today celebrating ‘Dress to Express’ Day. Here Year 5 are having a positive start to their day singing ‘Don’t Worry, Be Happy’ by Bobby McFerrin.
What a brilliant NSPCC Number Day we have had today! Children have competed in their houses to earn house points for their team! They've worked hard to solve puzzles and questions to test their reasoning and problem solving in additional to making donations to the charity. Well done all!
Year 5 & 6 welcomed two local magistrates - both classes acted out a court case and our judges decided whether the defendant was guilty.
The children enjoyed taking part in Explorer Day this week. Workshops included learning what they would need to take on a trip to the Arctic, how to survive and orienteering.
Today Year 4 have been experiencing life in Saxon Britain. Activities have included candle making, clay modelling and weaving.
