At Potten End School, we have our Year 6 Sports Leaders as part of our PE provision, who meet to discuss any ideas regarding physical education. Sports Leaders have an opportunity to share their own thoughts and opinions and collectively agree on any decisions that are made.

Last year's Sports Leaders took part in a Bronze Ambassadors course at the University of Hertfordshire where they took part in a range of activities and had the opportunity to gain some exciting new initiatives for PE in our school, and developed their skills further by leading activities with children from all year groups in our school. This role also developed important values such as patience, friendship, compassion and resilience as well as building their confidence and communication skills throughout the year.

Throughout the year the Sports Leaders will also lead PE events, organise House PE events, suggest visitors or taster sessions and also look at the PE sessions in school.
