HOW WE USED OUR PUPIL PREMIUM 2016-17
Potten End C of E Primary School received £29,344.45 in funding for the year 2016-17. This money is being allocated in the following manner:
- To subsidise curriculum enhancement for children whose families are experiencing financial hardship. This might include after school clubs, swimming and music lessons
- To subsidise costs of visits and events which enrich the curriculum and for which a donation is requested
- Towards additional Teaching Assistants (TAs) to support children with additional needs, in the classroom
- To support and subsidise therapy for children who require it
- Additional TA time to support children needing intervention strategies on a 1:1 basis
Break down of funding for Year 16-17 (currently based on budgeted outgoings):
- Educational trips and visits for pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium money: £700
- School clubs for pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium money: £398 (not including summer clubs)
- Additional support for pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium money (1:1 or small group intervention support): £25,934
- Therapy for vulnerable children £6000
This is a predicted total spend of £31,340, which represents a predicted overspend of £1995.55.
