During the morning the children served as workers and slaves, finishing the construction of a new city to honour the god Aten, by carrying out tasks such as bread making, tomb painting, ink making, scroll writing and perfume-cone making.
The afternoon featured an Egyptian banquet with King Akhenaten and Queen Nefertiti, where we were entertained by dancers, story tellers, actors and an appearance from the Apis Bull, who tried to predict what the future held for our pharaoh and our new city. It was an amazing experience and a fantastic way to end their history topic.
