Year 6 Science – Circulatory System

by school on June 10, 2019

In science, Year 6 are studying the digestive and circulatory system. Having looked at how the heart works and its function in our bodies, the children were able to actually put this learning into a practical activity.  They split into small groups and dissected lamb’s hearts; looking at the chambers and blood vessels.

Surprisingly, most of the children were happy to complete this activity and for some they will be looking forward to this type of activity when they move to secondary schools later this year.
