The Great Outdoors

by school on May 8, 2019

Continuing the theme of “The Great Outdoors”, Nursery and Reception, during their joint small group time session, have been searching the Wonder Wood meadow for the many colours in nature. The children were able to almost complete their colour wheels, with red the missing colour amongst the hundreds of wild flowers growing and everyone finished just before the grass was cut.

We have been learning about the life cycle of a frog and a butterfly.

We have read: The Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly, The Hungry Caterpillar, Tadpole’s Promise and The Bad Tempered Ladybird, completing fun activities based around these books.
