Year 6 pupil chosen to represent Dacorum

by school on September 10, 2015

Thomas in Year 6 has been selected to play football for Dacorum and will now be playing on the district team. He had to go to 4 different trials sessions and pass each one in order to gain his place on the team.

We are very proud of his achievements and look forward to hearing about the matches that he will soon be playing in. Watch this space for more news as the first match is this week!Football 2

District Football Update from Thomas
So far this year I have played 3 friendly matches for the district team as a defender and mid-fielder. We won two of the matches and were narrowly defeated in the third. I have scored one goal for the team and assisted in 5 others.

My highlight of playing in the team so far has been the goal I scored as I struck the ball from the half way line! Our next match this coming Saturday (10th October) at Ashlyns against St Albans which will be our first league game. I really hope we win – keep your fingers crossed and I’ll be in touch again soon with another update!
