Collective Worship – visit by Rabbi Standfield

by school on June 3, 2015

Rabbi Standfield came to school on the 2nd June 2015 to talk to all the children about his role as a Rabbi. It was a very informative Collective Worship where everyone, both staff and pupils, learnt a lot about the Jewish faith. The children who had been studying Judaism in their classes asked lots of searching questions, such as “how long is a Torah”, “what do Jews eat” and “why do men wear caps on their heads”?

We are grateful to Rabbi Standfield for coming to our school and giving us a greater understanding of what Jews believe and why. Here is a photograph showing Rabbi Standfield talking to the children in Collective Worship.
