Bread Making

After studying the traditional tale of The Little Red Hen and writing our own version, we made our own bread. We had to mix together flour, sugar, salt and yeast and then pour in warm water and oil into the centre. We used our hands to combine the dough and then we starting kneading, this was hard work! We let the dough prove for an hour and then kneaded it again before forming bread rolls. We let it prove for another hour before putting it in the oven to cook. In the afternoon, we were allowed to try our rolls and they were very yummy!
